Addiction Help is about empowering Addicts and Alcoholics to overcome their Addiction.
Progression from Addiction to a healthy life in recovery is not a simple task, but at Thames Clinic we aim to ease the everyday pressure off of anybody who wants to quit their substance Addiction.
It may be that the person is still using drugs, Alcohol or both, but once you recognise your Addiction and want a better way of life for yourself, which usually happens once an Addict hits rock bottom, then the staff at The Thames Clinic are professionally qualified to help you on your journey to sobriety.
Some Addicts make the decision to seek help only after something significant happens in their life such as having their spouse leave them. This is not a requisite to get clean and sober, it is usually just a wakeup call!
Leaving your drug induced state behind can appear daunting to many Addicts, but a daunting feeling will soon pass once it is realized that the prospect of recovery from Addictions is within easy grasp. Thames Clinic, are very much focused on the importance of support, so as well as our team of staff and counselors we also involve the 12 step process, to enable the individual to build relationships with others in recovery. This is another form of vital support.
If you do decide to go to rehab, you will get the best experience from it if you are truly open minded about it and fully willing to follow through with any suggestions that they have there. If you are on the defensive, stuck in denial, or generally just resistant to change, then you are not likely to do well in treatment, which is where the importance of our diverse team comes into effect.
